Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, PPLMove (aka Denis Chatterton) moved to Ottawa in the 90’s. His DJ Career began back in ‘97 as a way to, well, make it so that the school dances were a bit more in line with what the students were looking for.
It was early in 2005 that brought forth PPLMove’s career as a promoter and DJ at his weekly event called PPLMove Mondays. Spending the next number of years within the Ottawa House Music and Underground scene, alongside some Ottawa Veteran DJ’s like Rick Laplante, Joe Juarez, Jeff Douglar and DJ Balu. PPLMove was booked into Ottawa’s only underground House Music Club, Heaven, and while playing other clubs and events around Ottawa, and worked closely with Framework Music and Overdrive Canada.
Spending much of his time now booked for private parties, PPLMove has branched out from his love of dance music to incorporate a wide variety into his sets. Still spending time supporting the local scene, most recently spotted playing Sunday Sessions at Mercury Lounge. However, you can find him every Saturday at his residency at Dodge City Country Saloon and on rotation on Thursdays at Bier Markt in Ottawa.Expect a healthy mix of all genre’s of music as he really only has one goal, to make PPLMove.
