At the tender age of 10, Canadian Deejay, DJ Dan Steel got his first glimpse and inspiration of Hip Hop. The creative flow and soulful tracks of 80’s Hip Hop, introduced him to the ‘Breakdancing’ scene, watching the classic movie “Krush Groove”. After hearing smooth style of LL Cool J‘ I can’t live without my radio’, Steel was wowed and pursued his dream within the Hip Hop world. He was inspired by the legendary movies, ‘Beat Street’,&‘Breakin’, so much that he broke into break dancing and hip hop dancing at a local boys & girls club, he discovered himself more fascinated with Deejaying. He spent much of his time watching Deejays in the booth. The art of The DJ influenced him so much, that he began mixing at the local Boys & Girls club at the age of 16! Steel saved and sacrificed for 3 months to purchase his first pair of ‘Technics 1200’ turntables. As time went on, in late 2004 and beyond, he debuted in bigger venues like, ‘The Downstairs Club’, where he Deejayed for the Duxe!!
